Sen. Rand Paul has denounced the search warrant at Mar a Lago as “an attack on the rule of law.” This is the same irrational slogan we’ve been hearing from other Republicans and neo-fascist media people. I am surprised to see Rand Paul only repeating what other Republican apologists are saying, for he is usually a bit more eccentric about everything. I predict that the Republican mouthpieces will ditch this line of apology so they won’t be saying the same thing as Rand Paul.

3 VI 2021: Rand Paul crowing on his dung-heap
I read that Senator Rand Paul, in the latest example of his chronically eccentric and obstructionist behavior, is claiming some kind of vindication for himself as a result of the publication of a pile of Dr. Fauci’s emails. Not only that, but Paul says he holds Dr. Fauci “morally responsible” for the COVID19 pandemic.
I suppose he is claiming some vindication by way of an excuse for the amount of time he wasted showing off when Dr. Fauci testified before the Senate committee. As to moral responsibility, Sen. Paul should avoid making judgements about morality or responsibility, since, as a Trumpublican, he lacks any credibility in these spheres.
24 I 2021: Really nuts, or just a good actor
I read that Sen. Rand Paul is still playing the fraudulent election card. He says we should have a debate about whether the election was a fraud so all those Republicans who believe the lies told them could have their say. It is said that everyone has a right to his own opinion, but the gullible and mis-informed should keep their opinions to themselves. This is just another of Rand Paul’s many unusual, often very bad, ideas. I’ve begun to wonder if he, like Lucius Iunius Brutus, is feigning insanity or stupidity.
1 VII 2020: Rant vs. reason, lies vs. truths
Sen Rand Paul of Tennessee sometimes chews on his feet in public. I watched a news reel of his harangue addressed at Dr. Fauci. Sen Paul is confused about COVID19 and he’s not going to take it anymore. He wants simple answers and he wants them right away. Dr. Fauci confronted Sen Paul’s passion with his usual genial rationality, explained the realities to him, and refused to try to predict the future.
I see that Trump’s younger brother was plucked out of the psychiatric ward to obtain a temporary restraining order to block publication of Mary Trump’s memoir. Of course, Robert Trump is a cat’s-paw for the President. I suppose Donald feels he has over-burdened his personal law firm, the former Justice Department, and decided to let the private sector handle this one. This case shows dramatically how our legal system is riddled with inconsistencies: the law allows Trump to block publication of the truth but cannot keep him from publishing an inexhaustible gush of lies.
