A statement of George Conway is being widely quoted that says that Trump “wants to have revenge on the United States of America.” I think this is true. 

I would go further and say that Trump needs to have revenge on anyone who has in any way opposed him, disagreed with him, criticized him, ignored him, indeed, anyone who has not given him the acquiescence and praise that he knows are his due. So the target of his lifelong vendetta includes all refined, learned, idealistic, courteous, and wholesome people, in government, in business, in the arts, in society.
